[R-repo-dev] server

I am looking at bioinformatics.org at the moment for the repo.
I see:
Filesystem            Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on
[..]
/dev/sda7             197G  173G   14G  93% /home

I think 14G should be enough to start with.

There is no createrepo installed on the machine, should I copy the files
here and rsync from my laptop to the server or can createrepo be
installed directly on the server ?
