[Bio-Linux] perl libraries for ensembl

Hi,

Sadly not. There was a Debian Med/Eagle Genomics project to add ENSEMBL
packages to Debian a few years back, and these would have been inherited
by Bio-Linux, but the effort was never finished.

Hopefully installing the libraries directly from ENSEMBL is not too
problematic. If you try to do that and run into difficulties then do
ask for help on this list.

The installation instructions for ENSEMBL say you need BioPerl 1.6.1,
and Bio-Linux has 1.6.9. In theory, packages with only changes in the
last part of the version number should be completely compatible with
earlier versions, so you should at least be able to use the vesrion of
BioPerl that you already have.

Cheers,

TIM
