[Bio-Linux] next question: KDE or GNOME?

I cannot really give you an educated opinion on KDE vs Gnome other than that I do not mind as I do not really use the functions of the desktops.

As long as I can start the programs I need through a terminal I am fine.

Cheers,
Hendrik
